Nib and Feed
The solid 18K nib is specific to the issue and, like others in the series, it contains the word Jerusalem 3000 and an engraving depicting the city walls, as well as 'Omas - 750 -18 K' and the writing tip size, which on this pen is 'M' for medium. Ebonite (BHR) ink feeder.
Pen has been fully serviced. All parts disassembled and ultrasonically cleaned. Screw piston mechanism and seal lubricated. Pen barrel and cap delicately hand polished. Reassembled, write tested and finally flushed with clean de-ionised water.
Barrel and cap are free from scratches, with no cracks, hairlines or dents. There are no personalisation's. Gold plating is excellent with no signs of ware. Barrel and cap have a high gloss sheen. Piston filling system slides with ease and draws up maximum ink volume. Cap to barrel screw threads are firm and positive, clip is also firm. Overall pen is ready to write and is in near mint condition. Pen is supplied in its original presentation case with full set of stamped papers, indicating the pen was purchased in Rouen, France in 2001. To complete the pen package, the original Omas Jerusalem 3000 outer card box, which is also in very excellent condition.
We are not sure how many of these Special Edition Omas Jerusalem 3000 fountain pens were produced, it appears to be very rare. The condition of this pen would make it a highly desirable collectors piece. Having serviced the pen and write tested it, I can attest to the the nib performance, which would also make this pen an excellent everyday writer.
