Original 14ct gold wing nib which is stamped '14C - 24 - MONTBLANC - 585'. Nib has a medium to broad oblique writing tip, a little flex and is a very smooth writer. Ebonite ink feeder.

Restoration/ Service
Pen has been fully disassembled prior to ultrasonic cleaning. Piston screw mechanism removed from barrel, seal checked and mechanism lightly lubricated. Nib assembly dismantled, nib polished and writing tip honed, re-aligned prior to re-sealing into section. Pen barrel and cap delicately hand polished. Reassembled, dip write tested and finally flushed with clean water.
General Condition
Pen barrel and cap are free from cracks, hairlines and dents with only minor signs of age related ware. There are no personalisation's. Gold plating to pocket clip and bands is in very good condition. Ink view window is clear. Cap clutch mechanism is firm and positive. Overall pen is in excellent condition.

Larger of the Montblanc 2x series from the 1960's. This is an elegant, stylish and lightweight writing instrument.
