This Montblanc 344 was manufactured from 1954 to 1956. Earlier models had their reference number heat stamped into filling knob, with a plain gold filled band positioned slightly above cap lip. This version of the Montblanc 344 had the Montblanc name and reference number engraved into the cap lip. The nib is ball ended and has good flex, making it very much an all rounder, accommodating most styles of writing.
