Parker Duofold International Mk.II Fountain Pen. Made in Newhaven, England 3rd Quarter of 1997. Black cast acrylic with 23K gold plated trim.
Uses cartridge or cartridge convertor filling system (convertor included). The cap which unscrews from body has heavily 23K gold plated clip and raised double cap bands. Raised disk to cap top with ‘DUOFOLD’ in banner cast into metal. Acrylic brass sleeved barrel has gold bands to section and rear of barrel. Pen carries inscription ‘PARKER - MADE IN UK - IP’ to barrel end cap.
Solid 18K gold nib with with inlaid ruthenium arrow motif. Nib is stamped ‘PARKER - 18K - 750’. Discrete Parker logo stamped to unseen part of nib. Medium tip, lovely smooth writer.

Restoration and Service
Pen has been fully disassembled and ultrasonically cleaned to remove traces of old ink. Nib and feed removed from collector, reset. Pen barrel and cap delicately hand polished. Write tested and finally flushed with clean water.
Pen barrel and cap are free from scratches, with no dents or personalisation. Gold plating to clip and trim is unworn. Cap to barrel screw is firm and positive. We would classify this pen as being in excellent condition. Pen is supplied with original hard case, leather pen pouch, spare cartridges and instruction booklet. The case shows signs of age related ware.
This Duofold International fountain pen was produced in the third quarter of 1997 (I P stamped). The Duofold International was based on a design, originally produced by the Parker pen company in the 1920’s. Launched in 1988, the International and Centennial models commemorated 100 years of Parker pens.
