Restoration and Service
Pen has been fully restored and serviced. Pen disassembled down to component parts and ultrasonically cleaned. New piston seal fitted, piston mechanism lightly lubricated. Piston seal vacuum checked. Nib and feed assembly re-aligned with screw-in collar, re-sealed into barrel. Pen barrel and cap delicately hand polished. Reassembled, dip write tested and finally flushed with clean water.
Pen and barrel are free from cracks, hairlines, dents and noticeable scratches. No personalisation. Gold plating shows no sign of wear or pitting. Piston operates smoothly and draws up full barrel of ink. We would classify this pen as being in excellent condition.
Sort after Pelikan 400 NN, the last of three 1950's Pelikan 400 designs. Lovely flexible nib and very smooth to write with. The clarity of translucent celluloid barrel is excellent for a pen nearly 60 years old.
