Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 'Hommage A Frederic Chopin' Fountain Pen in black precious resin with platinum filled trim. Model:2859. Cartridge or piston convertor. Made in Germany c.2013. Presentation boxed with original CD and papers.

Black resin screw-on cap fitted with platinum filled pocket clip. Black resin domed top with white Montblanc signet (snow cap) inlaid. Three gold filled cap bands, the centre raised band is incised with cross hatch engraving 'MONTBLANC - MEISTERSTUCK - Pix'. The clip ring is stamped 'GERMANY' and has the pen's individual serial number. The underside of clip also has the 'Pix' symbol stamped.

Black resin barrel and section with platinum filled bands to section and rear of barrel. Barrel unscrews providing access to either push in cartridge or screw-in bottle ink convertor. Pen supplied with Montblanc piston ink convertor, and two cartridges.

 Service/Restoration

No restoration required. We have however, fully disassembled the pen and ultrasonically cleaned individual components. Nib polished and reset with ink feeder, before correctly aligning within section. Pen barrel and cap delicately hand polished. Reassembled, dip write tested and finally flushed with clean water.

Pen barrel and cap are free from scratches, with no dents, cracks or hairlines. There are no personalisation. Gold plating to clip and trim is very good. Resin has high gloss sheen. We would classify this pen as being in excellent condition. Pen is supplied in original Montblanc 'Hommage to Frederic Chopin' presentation box with 'Philharmonia of the Nations' CD of Chopin's music and papers.

This is a lovely mid size fountain pen, which provides the user with the option of using either cartridges or bottled ink when the piston convertor is fitted. The ideal gift for someone special or perhaps even treat yourself. We have included a couple of cartridges to get you going.
