Conway Stewart 58 Vintage Fountain Pen introduced in 1958, green herringbone pattern with gold filled trim and Duro gold nib.
Green herringbone barrel and cap with two narrow and one medium gold plated cap bands. Black section. Gold filled pocket clip with Conway Stewart logo below cap ring. Screw on cap with black jewel retaining pocket clip. Lever filling, with C.S. logo stamped to round end of lever. Pen is heat stamped on barrel 'Conway Stewart 58' top line 'MADE IN ENGLAND' bottom line. Pen is fitted with a Duro 14K gold medium nib and ebonite ink feed.

Pen has been fully disassembled to component part level and ultrasonically cleaned. Nib and feed removed from section, nib tip honed and nib polished. New ink sac fitted. Nib re-aligned with feeder and carefully replaced into section, ensuring alignment with filling lever and cap clip. Pen barrel and cap delicately hand polished. Reassembled, write tested and finally flushed with clean water.
Pen barrel and cap are free from cracks, hairlines and noticeable surface scratches. There are no personalisation. Gold plating to pocket clip, cap band and filling lever is in very good condition, with no brassing or pitting. Barrel imprint is exceptionally clear. Barrel and cap have a high gloss sheen. Cap clip is firm, cap bands are also firm and fixed. Filling lever is flush with barrel. Cap to barrel threads are positive with good alignment between pocket clip and filling lever. Overall pen is ready to write and is in very excellent condition. Pen supplied in bespoke Hepworth Dixon card box.
This rare Conway Stewart 58 in green herringbone is a highly collectible fountain pen, also a good everyday writing instrument. This pen was part of my own personal collection of vintage Conway Stewart's.
