Conway Stewart 93 Lever Fill Fountain Pen in blue herringbone resin. Gold filled trim. Made in England 1961/63
Screw on, screw off cap with three gold filled bands, two narrow and single medium band between. Gold filled pocket clip impressed with Conway Stewart signet, secured with gloss black conical jewel. Gold filled lever filler clip has shield impressed with C.S signet. Barrel impression reads 'Conway 93- MADE IN ENGLAND'
Pen measures 4.7/8 inches (125 mm) long with cap attached. Cap diameter: 0.5 inches (12.5 mm). Weight: 13.6 grams.
Solid gold 14ct original Conway Stewart broad tipped nib. Stamped 'Conway - Stewart - 14 CT GOLD - 3'. Nib is a lovely smooth writer having good flex.
Pen has been fully disassembled. Ultrasonically cleaned to remove all traces of old ink. Previously loose cap rings bonded into position. New Latex ink sac fitted. Nib and feeder reset. Pen barrel and cap delicately hand polished with imprint masked. Reassembled, write tested and finally flushed with clean water.
Pen barrel and cap are free from scratches, with no dents, cracks or hairlines. There are no personalisation's. Gold plating to pocket clip is very good, as are the cap bands and filling lever. Cap to barrel threads firm and positive. Filling lever flush to barrel, firm operation. Barrel imprint crisp. Overall pen is ready to write and is in very good condition. Pen is supplied in bespoke Hepworth Dixon card box.
The Conway Stewart 93 was only produced between 1961 and 1963, making it one of the less common models.
