Unused Parker Duofold International Mk.II Fountain Pen. Made in Newhaven, England 1st Quarter of 2006. Gloss black cast acrylic body and cap with platinum plated fittings. 18K gold nib, medium.
The Parker International uses either a cartridge or cartridge convertor filling system (convertor included). The cap unscrews from body. Arrow pocket clip and double raised cap lip bands are plated with platinum. Cast acrylic barrel has platinum bands to section and rear of barrel. The barrel unscrews from section to access either cartridge or piston bottle ink convertor. Pen carries inscription 'PARKER - MADE IN UK - Y.111' to barrel end cap. The 'Y.III' denotes a manufacturing date during the 1st quarter of 2006.
Solid 18K gold nib with with inlaid ruthenium arrow motif. Nib is stamped 'PARKER - 18K - 750'. Discrete Parker logo stamped to unseen part of nib. Medium writing tip, fairly firm, lovely smooth writer.

Restoration and Service
Pen has been fully disassembled to confirm the pen is unused. Nib and feed removed from section, nib alignment with feed checked. Pen barrel and cap delicately hand polished. Write tested and finally flushed with clean water.
Pen barrel and cap are free from scratches, with no dents or personalisation. Platinum plating to clip and trim is unworn. Cap to barrel screw is firm and positive. We would classify this pen as being in near mint condition. Pen is supplied with original Parker presentation case and outer card box The presentation box and outer card box are in very good condition, inside and out.
The Duofold International was based on a design, originally produced by the Parker pen company in the 1920's. Launched in 1988, the International and Centennial models were introduced to commemorate Parkers 100 year Jubilee.
