Nib and Feed
Original 14ct gold wing nib which is stamped '14C - 24 - MONTBLANC - 585'. Nib has a broad oblique writing tip, moderate flex and is a very smooth writer, providing good line variation. Ebonite ink feeder and locating collar.

Pen has been fully disassembled prior to ultrasonic cleaning. Piston screw mechanism removed from barrel, seal checked and mechanism lightly lubricated. Nib assembly dismantled, nib polished and writing tip honed, re-aligned prior to re-sealing into section. Pen barrel and cap delicately hand polished. Reassembled, dip write tested and finally flushed with clean water.
Pen barrel and cap are free from cracks, hairlines and dents with only minor signs of age related ware. There are no personalisation. Gold plating to pocket clip and bands is in very good condition. Ink view window is clear. Cap clutch mechanism is firm and positive. Overall pen is in excellent condition. Supplied in bespoke Hepworth Dixon card box.
